Object references break the referenced models

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Custom Object Type.
2. Add a custom Object Type Field of type Object.
3. Navigate to an instance of the related model the Object field refers to.
4. Instead of the displaying the detail for the related model it displays an error page.

Expected Behavior

The related models should be unaffected by custom object "Object" fields.

Observed Behavior

Related models show this error page when you try to view an instance.
