Understanding your rights as an employee can be confusing 🤔💭 Through Wageline, our Private Sector Labour Relations group shares information about State awards and entitlements and helps employers understand their obligations. This group makes sure employers in the State system comply with State employment laws ⚖📃 We investigate complaints about unpaid wages and entitlements (wage theft), help employees and employers resolve complaints, and enforce orders. In addition, through labour relations policy and law reform, we keep Western Australia’s industrial relations laws fair, up-to-date and protect vulnerable workers. Shopping shouldn’t come with surprises. Every consumer has the right to expect that what they buy works as promised — and to know what rights they have and remedies to seek if it doesn’t. It’s our third post of introducing you to the groups that make up LGIRS, and today the focus is Consumer Protection WA Consumer Protection provides information and advice to Western Australian consumers and traders on buying goods and services, buying, selling, or renting a home, dealing with scams or unlicensed traders, as well as on unsafe products and product recalls. Consumer Protection aims to create a trading environment that is honest, transparent and treats people fairly. If you’re having trouble resolving an issue with a trader, our free conciliation service is here to help. Find out more 👉 https://lnkd.in/g_nNqPxx #LGIRS #Gettoknowus

Earlier this year, the company ceased responding to customers and subsequently closed its operations. At that time, consumer alerts were issued. Pet owners who had their cat’s or dog’s microchip registered with HomeSafeID are urged to register with another prescribed microchip database company, as their registration will no longer be valid.
