This week, our teams marked the one-year anniversary since the complete roll out of PRESTO in mobile wallets. As a result of that work from our dedicated teams, more customers are choosing digital PRESTO cards as the payment option of their choice when taking public transit in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area. The launch of PRESTO in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet has made taking transit easier than ever before with more ways to pay your fare across the region. If you still haven’t added a free digital PRESTO card or converted a physical PRESTO card onto your mobile Wallet, learn more about the difference here: https://lnkd.in/g-DZhKFd

All work under the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension's first major contract is now officially complete! After wrapping up tunnel boring operations under the first tunnel contract last year, crews got straight to work on completing the nine cross passages needed along the 6.3-km stretch of newly built twin tunnels. These connections between the tunnels will be used by workers to access both tunnels throughout the underground route of the extension. We also completed finishing touches on the tunnel portal at Scarlett Road, where trains will transition between above and below ground. This included pouring a concrete slab, sandblasting the retaining walls, and repaving around the area. Above ground, crews completed the multi-use pathway and sidewalks, and new ramps and stairs to the pedestrian bridge across Eglinton Avenue West. All the work was completed according to plan, and work is already well underway on the other major pieces of the line.
