As a trusted voice in sustainability and green skills, we’re supporting the UK’s transition to net zero by building the capabilities needed for long-term environmental change.

At The Verdancy Group, we believe climate goals and skills goals go hand in hand. We're here to close the green skills gap and help people into meaningful, future-ready careers, from retrofit and renewables to sustainability and circular economy roles.

We are part of Fedcap UK, a national organisation dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve long-term success.

Help shape the partnerships that power the UK’s green transition.

We’re looking for a Community Engagement & Social Impact Coordinator who shares our values and can lead the relationship-building, inclusion, and outreach activities that underpin our green skills programme.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with people and communities to remove barriers, increase access, and amplify local voices as part of the transition to a fairer, greener economy.

You will work alongside our training and consultancy team, helping to identify community needs, engage with stakeholders, and ensure that our delivery reflects the lived experience of the people and places we work with. You will also play a key role in measuring and communicating our social value and supporting collaborative partnerships with funders, employers, and community organisations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading outreach and engagement activities with community partners, learners, and stakeholders across targeted regions
  • Developing inclusive, accessible pathways into green skills training and employment
  • Supporting co-design of programmes with communities
  • Tracking and reporting on social impact, testimonials, and social return on investment (SROI).
  • Contributing to funding proposals and partnership bids
  • Supporting ongoing learner engagement, including signposting to relevant services

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a community-facing role within education, employability or third sector public services
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of barriers to participation and inclusive practices
  • Experience in capturing and reporting on key data (social impact, qualitative evidence)
  • Confidence in planning and hosting community events

Why join us?

  • Be part of a values-led organisation committed to inclusion and sustainability
  • Help shape a more equitable transition to net zero through meaningful local impact
  • Flexible working culture and supportive team environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression
  • Role with real purpose and the ability to see tangible community outcomes

Ready to build a greener future? Apply now and lead the partnerships driving the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.
