Now in its fourth year, Omexom New Zealand’s (Electrix) Warm Hearts for Winter campaign is once again supporting communities in need during the colder months. In partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand and pukekohe community action trust, our teams collected warm clothing, sleepwear, blankets, and other winter essentials to bring comfort to individuals and families facing winter’s challenges. What makes this campaign powerful is the collective effort: ✨ Our employees donating AND delivering essential items door-to-door. ✨ VINCI Energies' matching financial contributions, doubling the campaign’s impact. ✨ Ensuring items reach those who need it most. At Omexom, we believe in compassion through practical action, and wish to see that no one faces the cold alone. Together, we’re making a meaningful difference — one blanket and pyjama set at a time. #Omexom #VINCIenergies #Electrix #CommunityImpact #WarmHeartsForWinter #SocialResponsibility #Compassion

Shakespear Open Sanctuary Society Inc (SOSSI) is one of 11 charities across New Zealand that the Vinci NZ Foundation has been supporting since late 2023. Omexom New Zealand (Electrix) is a proud board member of the Foundation. SOSSI’s mission is all about bringing native forest back to the Whangaparaoa Peninsula and filling it with the song of native birds – a sanctuary open for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to VINCI NZ Foundation funding, two very special bird releases took place: 🕊️ Hihi (Stitchbird) release – 10 May 🕊️ Tieke (Saddleback) release – 24 May Omexom was present to assist at these releases, and we witnessed 40 Hihi (20 female, 20 male) and 30 Saddlebacks (15 female, 15 male) finding their new forever home. At the VINCI NZ Foundation, it’s not just about funding – it’s about showing up, rolling up our sleeves, and being part of the change. We’re honoured to support SOSSI’s mahi and to help bring more life, song, and colour to this incredible sanctuary. #Omexom #VINCIenergies #Electrix #VINCIfoundation #GivingBack #Biodiversity #SOSSI #NativeBirds #ConservationInAction

Following a recent fire incident at their yard, Abilities Group — a long-standing New Zealand non-profit dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through meaningful employment — faced unexpected operational challenges. AG provides employment to over 100 individuals with disabilities, offering services such as e-waste recycling, polystyrene processing, packaging, and certified destruction. Their work not only diverts significant waste from landfills, but also fosters a more inclusive workforce by integrating able-bodied and disabled individuals in shared roles. Recognising the vital role AG plays in both social inclusion and environmental sustainability, Omexom New Zealand (Electrix) contributed to support their recovery efforts. Omexom’s contribution has helped assist the organisation resume operations and to continue delivering essential services to the community, reflecting our shared commitment to resilience, sustainability, and social equity. Omexom has worked with AG in the past, supporting their mission to empower persons with disabilities by supplying decommissioned substation batteries for recycling and disposal. We wish Abilities Group a rapid recovery and full resumption of their very important work. #omexom #vincienergies #electrix #helpinghand #sustainability #environment

Omexom New Zealand (Electrix) was proud to participate in the North Shore Careers Expo, held at North Harbour Stadium, alongside 50 other exhibitors, showcasing diverse career and education pathways. It is an ideal event for young adults to discover a wide range of training and career options, with opportunities to talk face-to-face with experts. Over the course of two days and four sessions in the morning and afternoon, our team engaged with students, whānau, and career advisors, showcasing careers in the electricity supply industry. We were represented by a fantastic mix of a trainee coach, field operations manager, trainees, line mechanic, cable jointer, and the Distribution HR team. Their presence and enthusiasm helped spark meaningful conversations with students about our work and the opportunities available at Omexom, as they shared their personal experiences and career journeys. The event welcomed 1,445 students from across the region. The enthusiasm from Year 13 students was incredible and encouraging. We were thrilled to see so much interest in what we do and how we're helping the country achieve the energy transition. Omexom is proud to support such events that help shape the future workforce, and strengthen our connection with the community we work in. #omexom #vincienergies #electrix #northshorecareers #education #recruitment #inspiration #training

Even scrap cable drums can brighten children's day! When the head teacher of Yendarra Kindergarten in Ōtara, South Auckland, reached out to Omexom New Zealand (Electrix) with a request for spare cable drums, the Power Services Northern team from our Transmission and Substations Perimeter was more than happy to assist. Five small drums weighing a total of 36kgs, originally destined for the timber scrap bin, were instead tidied up, made safe (eliminating splinters, rounding corners/edges) and donated to support the kindergarten’s creative initiatives and help them cut costs. The teachers transformed the drums into charming tables, and the photos of the final setup show the tamariki thoroughly enjoying their new furniture. Staff expressed their gratitude, noting that the donation has opened up new opportunities for activities and imaginative play. The teachers have been very innovative in using the centre hole of the drums to place umbrellas for the kids' protection from the sun/rain. The repurposed drums have quickly become a well-loved and well-used addition to the learning environment, offering both practical use and endless enjoyment! #omexom #vincienergies #electrix #sustainability #recycle #lifecycleextension #environment
