Forms theme Image size

Any idea what size works best if trying to use an uploaded image for a theme in forms? I have tried various sizes and they all look pretty bad. I wish there was a way to move the image to what part I wanted to show as well.

Natalie Swallow I believe I found a solution! Use the teams background generator in canva. Start with a blank page and you can upload any image you want. Download the page and upload it to your form. It worked for me and gave a clean solution without a pixelated image.

Any chance that Microsoft will be fixing the issue with the header image sizing?

Natalie Swallow  the header/title image is not working. it doesn't allow you to expand image so that it fits the whole layout. The solution is to insert the image inside the first section of your form then leave the header/title section blank. See my screenshot.

Bareng I didn't find this option. So that can change the header image. That just allows me to insert the logo. Could help me?

That is a background for a Teams Meeting, not a header for a Form

I got the same size when downloading (1366 x 768), but reproducing at same size and 72dpi, fuzzy output :(
      Now trying 3543x1511.

        Hi

Does anyone know what size the image that goes in the title of a form needs to be? Upload as PNG or JPEG? DPI? I have tried a lot of sizes and they all end up being fuzzy. Thanks

  • Hello Natalie,

Did you to get an answer for this anywhere?

    kind regards

Hey there, I hope that in the last 7 years somehow you've accidentally discovered the best size for your needs - though I do now have the exact measurements that are still nowhere in the Forms interface.
Tip for the Forms devs: put a single line of text under the upload image button that says:
"recommended image size is 2000 x 1200 pixels"

I found this out my choosing one of the recommended images, opening the browser dev tools and then identifying the background image and looking up its image properties. So straightforward! So Microsoft. :)

It seems the larger the better, a 3543x1511 works pretty well, but I will test shrinking it a little.

Thanks for suggesting that size. I was having trouble with fuzzy images and using the size you suggested looks much better. Wish there were more pre-built themes available for Forms.
