As a Solutions Architect working with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Purview, I see a growing need for a centralized memory layer at the organization level. Today, Copilot Memory is user-specific, which is great for personalization. But many use cases would benefit from a shared memory layer that: Stores reusable organizational context (e.g. naming conventions, governance rules, preferred terminology) Applies default memory settings across users (e.g. how to respond to meeting requests, how to reference internal policies) Reduces the need for repetitive memory entries across departments Enables faster onboarding and consistent Copilot behavior across teams This could work as a hierarchical memory model: Org-level memory (defined by IT or business owners) Team-level memory (optional) User-level memory (personalized) Would love to hear if this is on the roadmap – or if others see the same need. The agent was published on teams and added as an app. It behaves differently on teams and does not refer to the knowledge source provided. Instead, it is showing generic web data (old LLMs probably). 🤖 Copilot in Edge: Why Is Voice Mode Less/NOT Context-Aware? I keep wondering: how can there be a difference between Copilot in voice mode and typed/manual mode when it comes to interpreting page content in Edge? I regularly ask Copilot questions about what I’m viewing in the browser, and when using keyboard input, its interpretation is impressively accurate. It seems to understand the page’s context quite well, even when I don’t mention specific names or links. Yet when I try the same thing via voice input, its response is oddly vague; almost as if it doesn’t "know" what's on the screen at all. And it categorically denies 🧠 What's Going On Here? Typed mode likely connects more directly to Edge’s page analysis tools, allowing Copilot to "read" tab contents intelligently. Voice mode may treat questions more literally—when asked “What do you see?”, it interprets that as visual perception (which it obviously doesn’t have), rather than contextual page awareness. It could also be a difference in how Edge routes context to Copilot depending on input method—perhaps voice input isn't wired into the same browsing context API. 💬 The Result? Typed queries = rich, context-aware responses. Voice queries = cautious, sometimes evasive replies, denying the ability to analyse the opened webpage. It’s a strange gap for a product that otherwise feels so seamlessly integrated. Hi everyone, I'm writing this post with a bit of frustration. I spent quite a few hours waiting and speaking with the Copilot Microsoft Support live, however; they were unable to help after doing the routine fixes like rebooting, re-installing, Repair, and some cache cleaning (they called it a Backend issue) - then they said that here I would find the solution... which I found a little strange, but here goes. I am working on a software project and have been for the past few months, so there has been a lot of activity in the particular Conversation on Copilot, and as of a couple days ago after uploading a screenshot, it froze and had to be restarted - and any time I would try to load that particular Conversation, it would freeze. Its just that one Conversation on a Windows 11 Copilot Pro setup, every other Conversation works on the Windows setup, and on my other devices like my phone, Copilot has no issues at all, even with the Conversation that won't load on the Windows setup. The difficulty for me is that I am somewhat limited to using the Windows Copilot for functionality, so my phone is out, and the Web-based version doesn't load Conversations.
