Join us in congratulating these brilliant individuals - we're so proud to have them shaping our inclusive culture. Thank you to our sponsors Sarah Hillary, Rida Rahmani, Nigel B., Claire Hudson and our co-ordinator Alex Gwynne (she/her)

Earlier this month our Leeds office participated in an annual citizenship initiative with Ahead Partnership. Every year BDO’s second year trainees deliver workshops to secondary school children from socially and culturally diverse schools across Leeds, helping them develop their confidence, communication, business and critical thinking skills. The students told us that having access to this opportunity helps them understand finances and budgeting whilst giving them vital skills in working as a team. With thanks to Faron Convey from Ahead Partnership and Jasmin Kang from our Leeds office for facilitating, and everyone who participated and supported making citizenship initiatives like this so impactful.

Curious about the state of UK manufacturing? Our Regional Manufacturing Outlook 2025 report, in partnership with Make UK is here! This annual report dives deep into manufacturing across the UK's regions and nations, offering valuable insights into the sector's performance over the last year. This year's edition finds that all English regions, Scotland, and Wales have exceeded pre-pandemic output levels, and 12,000 new manufacturing jobs have been created. The South West excels with strong growth in aerospace and defence, while Scotland faces modest declines. Investment intentions vary, with the North West leading, and the East of England showed improved sentiment for capital investment. However, the North East saw sluggish growth as output and orders fell short compared to last year. For a deep dive into the data and to understand how manufacturing performed in your region, download your copy of the report here: https://www.utm.io/uiEPO #manufacturing #UKmfg #ukmanufacturing #manufacturingoutlook
