We are Digital Inclusion specialists. We help organisations grow their digital skills & capacity to help others.
About us
Digital inclusion specialists. We provide e-learning and support to enable organisations to run Digital Champion programmes that build digital skills and confidence. We work with hundreds of clients in the third, public and private sectors who, between them, have thousands of Digital Champions engaging with tens of thousands of end learners and beneficiaries. Our Digital Champions Network is an award winning online platform to create, train and support Digital Champions who help others in the community. It is used extensively by local authorities, charities, housing associations and organisations helping people manage their health online. Our Inspire training course helps businesses raise awareness of digital inclusion and galvanises employees to volunteer to make a difference. It's often used as part of a wider digital CSR/ ESG strategy. We’ve been doing this for more than 25 years. We are independent and agile and always looking for new ways to make digital inclusion happen. We believe digital inclusion is a social imperative and that we all have a responsibility to make a difference.

We’re Hiring! We’re looking to recruit a Digital Inclusion Apprentice to join our team. It’s an entry-level role, but with great opportunities to develop and support engaging activity with the digital inclusion ecosystem. This role will work within the team and engage with a range of community and voluntary sector organisations, local authority digital inclusion services, key stakeholders and residents to help the uptake of related digital inclusion provision through innovative and community-based participation projects and support. The Apprentice will undertake the ‘Cultural learning & participation officer’ (CLPO) level 3 apprenticeship standard through the duration of the role. The CLPO standard is built around planning and delivering community engagement projects using arts, culture, and digital tools. Through this, they will help design and run digital inclusion sessions that are culturally relevant and engaging, use creative methods to reach digitally excluded and hard-to-reach groups, and tailor activities to diverse audiences. If you know of anyone who might be a good fit – please share the vacancy :) https://lnkd.in/eBA3rFxc

🔐 One password. 700 jobs. A 158-year-old company gone. A single weak password – likely the result of poor essential digital skills – was all it took for a ransomware gang to bring down a historic logistics firm. The result? A business destroyed and hundreds of livelihoods lost. The heartbreaking story of KNP, as reported by the BBC, should be a wake-up call for every UK employer (🔗 https://lnkd.in/dHsN6cSM) This wasn’t just a cyber failure. It was a skills failure. Core digital skills issues are often hidden in plain sight, with tendencies to over-estimate where people are now in terms of their digital capabilities. Do you really know how confident your team is at setting secure passwords? At spotting suspicious links or phishing emails? Data from Lloyds Banking Group underlines the opportunity (and the current risk).❗️35% of all workers are missing at least some of the cyber security basics. These are skills needed by every employee, in every role, in every business. We can all learn from this sobering reality that means we’ll no longer see those distinctive Knights of Old trucks on the motorway. Don’t over-estimate where your staff are now when it comes to the digital basics. Use data to understand the likely reality. Help them build their digital confidence. It’s a win-win for them, and your business. And we can help.
