Earlier this year, members of SYZ and HideOut Youth Zone had an amazing opportunity to work with JD Sports as part of their 2025 Back to School campaign! Across an exciting two day shoot, our young people were able to experience first hand the process of a creative and commercial shoot, learn new skills and build their confidence. It’s so inspiring to see them shine - both on camera and within themselves!🌟 They are shining examples of what young people can achieve when given the opportunities💚 A huge thank you to JD for providing such incredible and transformative opportunities, helping young people access new pathways and realise their potential💫

Kicking off Summer Camp at HideOut Youth Zone (EMPOWER) 🌞 ! Some of the ADT Workplace team spent the day volunteering at HideOut Youth Zone for the first of five planned summer camp sessions — and what a brilliant start it was! From getting stuck into activities to supporting the fantastic young people and staff, it was a rewarding day for everyone involved. We are incredibly proud to share that 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗵, a dedicated member of Salford’s Young People’s Development Group, has been shortlisted for an I Love Manchester Award in the category of 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 💚 Jack is not just an inspiring young person, he is a change-maker whose vision and leadership has helped shape a new future for young people across Salford. As a core member of Salford’s Young People’s Development Group, Jack has spent the last two years at the heart of building something truly transformational: Salford Youth Zone (SYZ). 👤 “I used to be with a friend group where they would use drugs and my friends were involved in knife crime, that kind of put me in a predicament where do I try and be like my friends or do I carry on with the life I’m living now. I started going to a youth club and they helped me through it all the way to the point where, I’ve had a thought where I want to go to college and study about Youth Work.” Jack didn’t just turn his life around; he’s actively creating a different future for others too. Supported by Youth Workers who believed in him, Jack chose a path of purpose. Last week, Chris Holden, Elliott Beedle and I had the absolute pleasure of volunteering at Hideout Youth Zone as a guest judge for their Come Dine With Me programme - and what a heartwarming evening it was! 💜🍴 The little stars planned, prepped, and served up a full menu for us to taste and rate, alongside plenty of entertainment! 🌟 It was inspiring to see such engagement, effort, and a real sense of community.
