We are pleased to welcome the recent £57.9 million government funding boost for the A582 South Ribble Western Distributor Upgrade, which forms a key part of the Preston, South Ribble & Lancashire City Deal. This strategic investment will improve transport for motorists, public transport and cycling as well as playing a crucial role in unlocking the full potential of Lancashire Central, our flagship employment-led site adjacent to the M65 terminus roundabout at Bamber Bridge. With planning permission in place for up to 1.7 million sq ft of high-quality commercial space and the creation of up to 5,600 jobs on completion, this boost will help deliver vital infrastructure that will support development, attract investment, and deliver homes, jobs and sustainable transport connections for local communities and businesses. The Eric Wright Group remain committed to collaborating with Lancashire County Council, Homes England, Preston City Council, and South Ribble Borough Council under the City Deal umbrella to help deliver this transformative vision for Central Lancashire.
