This weekend we held our Annual Echo Residential Trip at Lea Green Activity Centre in Derbyshire !🌳🏕️💫🧗🏼 We absolutely cherish this weekend for getting away from busy daily life to be fully present with the young people we support, watch them being brave, breaking down barriers, and growing friendships and confidence. Thank you to Kate Waring for coordinating the trip, all of the support team who came along and took part and the brilliant team at Lea Green 🙏🏼 We can't wait for next year!

I had the pleasure of attending my very first Inicio Group residential this weekend. Seeing over 50 young people come together from all different areas & backgrounds, make friends and experience things they will remember for life is nothing short of amazing. Kate Waring did an exceptional job of organising everything and making sure we all had the best time. Here’s to next year.

🌟Last weekend was one to remember 🌟 I had the privilege of going on a residential weekend with the most incredible group of young people, my cheeks still hurt from the laughing ans I have memories for a lifetime! Even if it meant getting chucked off my paddle board (more than once!) I’m humbled by their bravery and the way they supported each other through every activity, cheering people on regardless of ability. Watching friendships grow in such a natural way was truly inspiring. Putting my laptop away, being fully present with them was honestly heartwarming. Moments like these remind me why this work matters. 💛 Inicio Group

What an amazing weekend on the Supported Accommodation residential. It was amazing to see young people tackle their fears, and develop friendships with each other across lived experiences, language barriers, religions, countries and continents! Extremely proud to be part of Inicio Group and the commitment to provide opportunities for new experiences for our 16+ young people. A big well done to all of the young people and colleagues supporting, especially Kate Waring for organising and keeping the ship running smoothly.

We are extremely excited to share that Inicio Taste of Home, our online recipe book, is officially live! 🤗🍗🍜🍕 💻 https://lnkd.in/eFNduy5j   This special project has been six months in the making and is the result of collaboration between our young people and our Inicio team members.   Inicio Taste of Home is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity within our community of young people and colleagues. It brings together a collection of nostalgic, family, traditional, and cultural recipes. Included Is everything from Eritrean ‘Tibsi’ to a Full-English Breakfast Pizza!   To bring this cookbook to life, we spent a day with several young people at THE CHESHIRE COOKERY SCHOOL in Altrincham, cooking together, sharing stories, and tasting each other’s recipes. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and plenty of delicious food.   + it doesn’t end here, we have added the function for current and future young people, colleagues, and other people from the Inicio community to upload recipes at any time!   We can’t wait for you to discover the recipes and try them out in your own kitchen. On Sunday, Team Inicio Group took on the 'Inicio Pretty Mudder' for Cancer Research UK! 💪💖 It was incredible to see our team come together, get muddy, and tackle every obstacle with energy, teamwork, and plenty of laughs. Well done everyone who took part! And a huge thank you to everyone who supported and donated. Every contribution goes directly to Cancer Research UK. We're proud to share that the Inicio team raised £1,208, which was generously matched by our CEO, David Thompson, bringing our total to an incredible £2,466! 🧬🎗️ Same again next year...? 🏆
