Reminiscing on OH2025 It’s hard to believe the OH2025 Conference has already come and gone. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the Pub Quiz, which saw a fantastic turnout and some fiercely competitive teams. A big shoutout to our winners: - Quiz Champions: Humphreys Hump - Best Team Name: ALARP (Alcohol Loosens All Reasonable People) - Winners of the Wooden Spoons : The Shy Teds A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so enjoyable. The conference itself was a great success, and we were proud to have several of our team members representing IOM. Morgan Lofty presented work on safe-by-design for nanomaterials. Matthew Williams and David Flower also presented on the use of sensors in occupational hygiene, offering valuable insights into how technology is shaping our field. Thank you to Johanna Feary for delivering the John Cherrie Lecture and for her insightful presentation on the pressing issue of silicosis linked to artificial stone. Overall it was a pleasure to be part of such an important event and thank you to The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) for making it happen! #OH2025

Let’s clear the air—literally. In light of Clean Air Day, it is a perfect reminder of how important the air we breathe indoors really is. Many people experience symptoms like headaches, fatigue, dizziness, or irritation at work—often without realising these could be signs of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). Poor indoor air quality is a major contributor, but the good news is, we can take action. By monitoring carbon dioxide levels, moisture, mould, and dust, we can create healthier, more comfortable workplaces for everyone. Our team of experienced engineers are ready to help you address any air quality concerns you have. Small things can make a massive difference. Yesterday I had the pleasure of facilitating a conversation on The Future of Women’s Health in the Workplace at Safety, Health & Wellbeing Live with the explosively passionate combo of Emily Christopher and Lynda Bailey. To make sure the audience got the most value out of the session, as a comms person, I did two things: 1️⃣ The slides had the questions that Emily and Lynda were answering behind them. Meaning any late commers could follow along. 2️⃣ Our final slide had a QR code to the research that we were referencing, key points being made and contact details. Meaning that the audience could focus on what was being said. Supporting a high engagement session which featured a lot of honesty, a few uncomfortable truths and demonstrated that addressing women’s health in the workplace benefits everyone. If you missed it, the takeaway slides are here: https://lnkd.in/dMsT5C3N Thank you to Tim Else, Sarah Phillips and Nisha R. for all their hard work to make the event happen! #WomensHealth #MenopauseAtWork #SHWLive #WorkplaceWellbeing #HealthAndSafety

Today at Safety, Health & Wellbeing Live, at London Olympia, I joined two amazing panels: 🔸️Women in Health and Safety Panel with Danielle T. and Elle Clarke 🔸️The Future of Women’s Health in the Workplace with Lynda Bailey, Director of Making Menopause Work, facilitated by James Barrass - Banks. The engagement was brilliant, difficult questions, honesty, shared experiences, and a clear message: People are ready for change when it comes to women’s health at work. It’s not niche. It’s not a ‘nice to have’. It’s essential. And the appetite for progress is strong. Excited to keep the conversation going! #WomensHealth #MenopauseAtWork #SHWLive #WorkplaceWellbeing #HealthAndSafety
