With the challenges of working in a live retail environment our on-site activities which include demolition of previous structure, ribbed deck reinforced concrete and a complex curved structural steel frame needs to be done safely, efficiently, and within tight deadlines. The structural alterations and steelwork all delivered in-house with our own specialist workforce. 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 We’re proud to be leading the way on another standout project, this time at Bristol Boatyard, where Principle Demolition Ltd has managed the initial site transformation, delivering strip-out and enabling works for our client Clarion. What’s made this one truly special is the seamless collaboration with our colleagues MadiganGill Logistics, who are now supporting the ongoing works with full logistics and waste management services, working with the Construction Manager RECOM Solutions Ltd. After nearly two years of inactivity, this riverside site finally moved forward as is coming back to life. The development will include three new residential blocks – one of which is a striking 17-storey tower – offering a mix of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom affordable homes, commercial office space, and newly landscaped public areas along the River Avon. It’s been a great opportunity to demonstrate the value of a multi-service approach, and we’re excited to continue delivering at pace with trusted partners by our side. REPURPOSING IN ACTION Continuing our effort on sustainability at our project Judd street with Dominus , we have really focused on the repurposing and salvaging of materials as part of the strip out of the building. Since starting work onsite last month we have been working alongside Reusefully Ltd recovering items such as hand dryers, pendant lights, soon to be carpet tiles, a large reception desk and large suspended linear lights, which were checked and cleaned, and sent to a nearby community hub for reuse. Principle Demolition recognise that recycling plays a crucial role in our day-to-day operations and our clients' planning processes. As the importance of recycling and repurposing continues to grow, it has become an intrinsic part of our CSR strategy. Building relationships with our clients and consultants is part of our everyday business, last month it was with Costplan Group, and there’s no better way than escaping away from the work environment. Although a great contest and all in great spirit, there is no doubt that they just edged ahead in the darts match between us, and we will be seeking revenge! GAELIC FOOTBALL & GOLF SUCCESSES This month has seen two of our team involved with the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The first is the Tailteann Cup, which is a Gaelic football competition held annually, and the other being the London GAA annual golf day which was held at Aldenham Golf Club. It is with great pride (and excitement), that our very own Tighe Barry of Principle Demolition Ltd who plays Midfielder for Gaelic Football London club, The Exiles, which is managed by Michael Maher. Tighe is one of our up and coming Project Managers, and is used to facing interesting challenges, both on and off the pitch. It is his second year on the senior panel having earned his stripes on the all-native junior team. He is one of half a dozen or so that have made the step up, a boost he says for all younger players. Tighe also joined teammate and work colleague Finley Jones from MadiganGill Logistics on another collaboration - sporting this time representing Principle Demolition in the London GAA annual golf day at Aldenham Golf Club last week. After a fun active day on the course, the principle demolition golf team came out on top, which they were delighted to collect their winning trophy.   Both too wanted to say a special thank you to Tomás Sugrue from Surge Contracts who stepped in to collect the trophy, as Tighe had to disappear early to be in time for another Gaelic football match in Ireland the very next day. ORWELL HOUSE PHASE 2 MOVING AHEAD WITH STRONG MOMENTUM Significant progress is being made at the Orwell House Phase 2 redevelopment, a major structural alteration project for our client Curo Construction ltd. On-site activities include structural propping, robotic demolition utilising a Brokk, piling, and preparation for the next phase involving steel reinforcement and waterproofing. The ground floor’s main entrance has now been fully removed, which is a complex task. Utilising a range of advanced machinery - including excavators, conveyors, Brokk robots, and Bobcats - was executed with precision and control. Central to the project is the extensive refurbishment and expansion of the existing structure. Successful Completion We have just completed for PQS #Quantem the internal Strip out and asbestos removal of prestigious residential property at Brunswick Gardens in Kensington, Chelsea.
