Welcoming Future Homebuilders! 🏡 We were delighted to welcome a group of local schoolchildren to our Balcombe development last Friday. From learning how homes are built to watching our site team in action, the visit was a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation and showcase what goes into creating quality new homes. The year 2 students from Balcombe Church of England Primary School brought great energy, curiosity, and plenty of brilliant questions. To say thank you, we sent them off with gift bags filled with goodies and information about the world of housebuilding! Company Day 2025: Celebrating Success, Teamwork, and Purpose 👏 Last week we came together as a Shanly Group team to celebrate the year’s achievements and look ahead to future goals. The day began with inspiring speeches from Chairman Michael Shanly and senior leaders across Sorbon Estates, Shanly Homes, and the Shanly Foundation, setting a motivational tone for the day. One of the key highlights was our participation in Toy For Life, a powerful team building initiative where we constructed classic wooden toys destined for children in need in Uganda, Cambodia, and India. This activity challenged us to collaborate, strategise, and problem solve while making a real, lasting impact beyond the workplace. We also enjoyed a spirited Sports Day filled with nostalgic and fun challenges that brought the team together. Events included the egg and spoon race, donkey derby, fancy dress relays, and more. These lighthearted competitions sparked energy, camaraderie, and plenty of laughs reminding us of the importance of teamwork in all its forms. Company days like this reinforce how celebrating success, fostering strong culture, and giving back go hand in hand.
