  • Mental health at the BBC: Training resources

    Design and project management of the creation of three training modules with nine animations, a series of three podcasts and a revamp of the trainign portal.

    Carried out the learning design process including interviewing learners and building a resource based on their needs, working closely with the trainer who previously had delivered face to face training.

    Worked very closely with the Proteus team to make sure we had one place to point to for training with content logically broken up to support specific tasks.

    Built a new online course, based partly on a face to face version but mainly new material.

    Collaborated with BBC Studios, BBC diversity and inclusion and an outside consultancy.

    Delivered on time and saved lots of money through reduced classroom training and reaching all BBC staff.

    Was project manager for the BBC Academy, taking and refining the course from ideas and concept right through to production and final publication online. Co-ordinated the promotion and social aspects

    Making editorial changes to content after the transfer of the College of Production website to a new, one BBC Academy presence where each of the colleges (journalism, production, technology) and the central BBC Academy are together on one site.

    The new site is heavily image driven and really shows off the breadth of content we have so there has been a lot of work finding new images, some through local and BBC internal picture sources and some photographed by myself. There has been a lot…

    The new site is heavily image driven and really shows off the breadth of content we have so there has been a lot of work finding new images, some through local and BBC internal picture sources and some photographed by myself. There has been a lot of refreshing of copy, including teaser links.

    Plus fixing links and finding new ways to relate content across the site.
