The key here is storytelling with simplicity and purpose. I start by identifying the business problem the data addresses and then build a clear narrative that connects the insights to real business outcomes. A well designed dashboard becomes the visual anchor and it should include only the most relevant metrics that answer “What’s happening?”, “Why is it happening?” and “What should we do next?”. Avoid overwhelming with too many data points instead focus on actionable insights, use plain language and support with visuals like trends, comparisons and forecasts. The goal is to bridge the gap between data and decision making.

Consider using visual storytelling techniques that combine infographics with concise summaries. Graphs, charts, and dashboards can be overwhelming if not designed thoughtfully. Ensure visuals are simple, with a clear focus on the key takeaways. Pair these visuals with bullet points that summarize the implications of the data. This way, executives can grasp the insights quickly and understand the strategic decisions that stem from them.

Storytelling is a powerful way to effectively share data mining insights with non-technical executives. By framing findings as a concise narrative, you can clearly communicate the direct business impact, using simple language and visuals to highlight key takeaways. This approach naturally leads to actionable recommendations that resonate with executive priorities, ensuring the message drives understanding and action.
