Miscommunication typically is a function of culture. Distilling a sense of inclusivity, and cooperation is important. The ideal environment as a team leader you want is for people to be comfortable "bugging" each other when something is unclear. In essence the perceived cost of interactions becomes marginal.

Cultivate the habits of leaving all the lines of communication open. Formal or non formal as long as its within the professional boundaries. This will in turn pave a way for an environment where ideas can be challenged and discussed without any for of containment/discrimination by allowing team member to feel that it's okay to share a different opinion and there are no need to just move along with others perspectives just to maintain social peace.

To bridge the gap caused by team miscommunication in a mining project, establish clear and consistent communication channels, such as regular team meetings, project management tools, and digital platforms. Foster an open-door policy for addressing concerns, encourage active listening, and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Promote collaboration by setting clear objectives, ensuring timely updates, and encouraging feedback. Regular training on communication skills and conflict resolution can further strengthen team dynamics.
