We are proud to introduce PNZ Carbon, part of PNZ Group, which is funding the affordable retrofitting of British homes, to make them greener, warmer and more affordable to heat. We use the commercial demand for transparent, localised carbon credits to deliver this. This is about reducing carbon for the climate, as homes account for almost a quarter of the UK’s total carbon emissions. This is also about so much more for households, as warmer, more energy-efficient homes are cheaper to heat, lifting families out of fuel poverty and improving health outcomes. Working in partnership with the Housing Associations’ Charitable Trust (HACT), we operate a first-of-its-kind project, that delivers UK-based carbon credits and enables buyers to fund local retrofit projects which provide benefits in their own communities. Our mission is to finance an effective and just transition by channelling this investment directly into retrofitting some of the most fuel-poor homes and delivering genuine, quantifiable impact to those who need it most. Concerted action is needed to address the twin crises of climate breakdown and fuel poverty. If you are interested in buying credits, delivering high-quality retrofit projects or would like to learn more about PNZ Carbon, then we'd love to hear from you! Find us at enquiries@pnzcarbon.co.uk, or send us a direct message here on LinkedIn.

Day 2 at Housing 2025 – off we go! After a brilliant first day packed with inspiring sessions and great conversations, Team HACT is back and raring to go. 🎤 Yesterday, our Chief Executive Andrew van Doorn OBE led a powerful session on the importance of measurement and social value, sparking some excellent audience discussion. Meanwhile, our Business Development Director Matthew Grenier joined a thought-provoking panel with LHC Procurement Group and our old friend Michael McLaughlin and Richard Carroll, exploring how we can make social value truly meaningful across housing and procurement. 🏆 In the evening, we celebrated at the #UnlockNetZeroAwards where HACT and PNZ Carbon were proud to be nominated, along with our very own Antoine Pellet. While we didn’t take home a trophy this year, huge congratulations to all the well-deserved winners! 📅 Today, we’re back in action - we’re hosting a roundtable on Advanced Market Commitments, part of our Social Housing R&D programme and Drew returns to the stage for a session focused on tackling supply chain pressures and the skills gap through collaboration. 📍And of course - the HACT team are on hand at our stand all day today. Come along to 👉 F58 where you can sit and have a chat with one of our friendly faces and see how we can help Andrew van Doorn OBE Matthew Grenier Alex Lubbock Heather Lawson Lara Phelps Antoine Pellet Emily Barr Frances Harkin Rebecca Rieley Looking forward to another great day!

Tenant demand is driving sustainability... 92% of UK landlords believe greener homes are more desirable, making early investment in heat pumps, solar and EV charging vital to attract quality tenants and future-proof portfolios. This is where PNZ Carbon and HACT's award-winning crediting project is helping unlock additional funding for decarbonising UK homes. #CarbonCredits #Housing #Decarbonisation
Tenants ‘willing to pay green premium for UK homes and commercial properties’ New research from Handelsbanken’s 2025 Property Investor Report shows a clear shift in landlord attitudes towards sustainability—and it's being driven not just by regulation, but by tenant demand. A striking 92% of landlords believe tenants are willing to pay more for greener homes and commercial properties, thanks to anticipated energy savings and improved comfort. Key findings include: • 77% report strong interest in features such as heat pumps, solar panels and EV charging points • 57% say tenants have directly requested EV charging infrastructure • Nearly half (47%) see increasing demand for higher EPC ratings (C or above) According to Richard Winder, Head of Sustainability at Handelsbanken: “Investing in sustainable features offers a rare opportunity to woo good tenants, grow revenues and preserve tomorrow’s financial value, while cutting long-term operating costs.” While regulations like the upcoming EPC reforms are starting to shape the market, it’s tenants’ expectations that are currently leading the charge. Encouragingly, 36% of landlords said proposed EPC changes have actually made them more positive about the market, and over half see no downside. Initiatives like the award-winning #RetrofitCredits programme, by HACT and PNZ Carbon, are helping unlock additional funding for decarbonising UK homes, while also improving resident wellbeing. In a market that’s quickly evolving, those who invest early in greener, more resilient buildings will be best placed to attract quality tenants and futureproof their portfolios. #Sustainability #Retrofit #UKHousing Credit: edie

We're proud to be part of the PNZ Group, with three companies playing key roles in driving the UK's net zero transition. One of our sister companies, PNZ Energy, is currently delivering large-scale Solar PV and renewable energy projects across the UK, creating clean infrastructure that helps underpin the vision of the Group. Congratulations to PNZ Energy, as it continues to deliver impactful projects and helps companies across the UK deliver their decarbonisation strategies. #NetZero #PNZCarbon #PNZGroup #PNZEnergy #Renewables
Tranquillity, Manchester. Another strong month 💪 The project is now five weeks ahead of schedule, and the structure is rising steadily, with concrete works progressing up to level 6. We’ve completed the south terrace slab, and work on the north terrace is well underway. Precast stairs are in place for cores 2 and 3, while internal masonry and soffit insulation are making good progress. On the exterior, we’ve started installing the steel framing system and curtain walling along the river elevation, giving the first glimpse of how Tranquillity Manchester will take shape. Water is now live on site, and we’re expecting power to follow shortly. With façade works and window installations due to ramp up next month, there’s plenty more to come. Stay tuned as we continue building momentum and bringing Tranquillity Manchester to life! #BuildUpdate #ManchesterProperty #PropertyInvestment #Investment #Construction #HeatonGroup

Project Verification Milestone Achieved! We are proud to confirm the successful verification of the second monitoring period for our domestic carbon crediting project Housing Decarbonisation in the United Kingdom. The project is now able to issue Voluntary Carbon Units (VCUs) from this monitoring period, under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). These credits will support commercial partners across the UK as they seek to meet their carbon offsetting goals and quantify social value, helping accelerate the UK’s transition to net zero. This is a testament to the integrity and impact of the PNZ Carbon project, delivered in partnership with HACT, as we continue to drive forward action in the UK housing sector. A huge thank you to our VVB partner, SustainCERT and to Verra for their ongoing oversight and engagement with the project. If you’d like to learn more about our project, or to enquire regarding credit availability, please get in touch, we’d be delighted to hear from you. #ClimateChange #RetrofitCredits #PNZCredits #Sustainability #Offsets

Today, we celebrate our planet and the progress we're making toward a more sustainable future. As a project developer committed to real climate impact, we are proud to share one of the ways we’re contributing to that future. Our carbon offset project accelerates the decarbonisation of residential buildings across the United Kingdom (a sector responsible for a significant portion of national greenhouse gas emissions). Through our grouped project approach, we work to reduce fossil fuel and electricity consumption by supporting energy-efficient upgrades like insulation, air sealing, and heating system improvements. We make it possible to generate verified carbon credits in accordance with Verra and bring housing retrofit emission reductions to the global voluntary carbon market. · Empowering homeowners to take climate action. · Aggregating impact at scale. · Facilitating access to trusted carbon finance This Earth Day, let’s remember that real climate action starts at home and that small changes can lead to a massive impact. If you're interested in learning more about how our project works or in sourcing high-quality UK-based carbon credits, please feel free to reach out. #EarthDay #ClimateChange #RetrofitCredits #PNZCarbon
