Realterm has received development approval for a purpose-built industrial outdoor storage (IOS) facility in Sydney’s key logistics corridor at 77 Governor Macquarie Drive, Chipping Norton amid rising demand for container capacity. Across 23,000sqm* of container-rated hardstand, this IOS facility will have capacity to store 1,700* TEUs – an increasingly rare offering in a tightly held market where options for container storage remain scarce. Importantly, it is the first container-rated hardstand to be developed speculatively outside of the port and intermodals – a strong signal of confidence in ongoing demand for IOS infrastructure within key logistics corridors. Realterm has successfully completed the sale of two Dutch logistics assets: a 7,537-square-meter final mile facility in Deventer and an 11,010-square-meter truck terminal in Oss. Both properties were acquired in 2020 and have been leased to quality industrial tenants. “These transactions exemplify our disciplined approach to capital allocation and portfolio management, ensuring optimal positioning for our remaining Dutch assets while maintaining focus on our core strategy of transportation logistics real estate in primary markets,” said Balazs Lados MRICS.
