- [Presenter] Attention is a rare and precious thing. You may be able to get people's bodies in the room, but getting their attention is an entirely different challenge. I mean, really, ask any teacher you know. One way you can deal with this is by making things simple for your audience. Don't ask them to remember things. Don't ask them to infer things that you should be spelling out explicitly. Do your job. Make it clear what you're recommending to them. Now, there's a few ways you can do this in your presentations. One is to group related items. If more than one graph is required to make the point, put them on the same slide, but remove anything else. You want to get it down ideally to just one slide unless you must have two to make the point clear. Second, add insights to the charts themselves. Make the connections clear. Again, don't rely on memory. You don't want to say, two slides later, "As I said before,"…
