- [Instructor] Let's take some time to understand some of the concepts that we should be familiar with before starting this course, and then some of the software that we can install before beginning this course that will make the exercises go more smoothly. First, you should have a high-level DevOps understanding. We will talk a little bit about DevOps in this course and the CI/CD process, but it will really help if you have a general high-level understanding of what DevOps is and how it's integrated into an SDLC process. You should also have some general information security experience. We're going to be talking about some concepts related to application security and DevSecOps where a background in information security would really be helpful. And finally, we're going to be running some commands from the terminal, so being able to understand how to bring up a terminal in Windows or Linux would really be advantageous.
