- [Instructor] As usual, we're staying in our MoreDimensioning.dwg file. In the previous video, we looked at moving the positions of our dimensions using grips. What we're gonna look at now is editing the dimension text itself. Now normally you wouldn't do that because your dimension is there to give a distance, a dimension from one point to another. Sometimes though, you want to use a dimension to represent something else. We're gonna look at that door swing here. Can you see where it says 917? Now we're just gonna type DDEdit, and you'll see in brackets it says text edit there. Now DDEdit is a really useful tool because it allows me to replace that 917 dimension with some text that might say, for example, door swing. So I press enter after typing DDEdit and it says select an annotation object. I'm gonna select the 917. And as you can see now, it kind of swings it around so that it's horizontal so that we can read it. And you can see that the text editor kicks in on the ribbon as if…
