Add roof fascia
- [Instructor] As a finishing touch, let's add fascia to the roof. When I look at the roof type that I had created, I see that my roof is six and one-eighths of an inch thick. It's nice, but it doesn't give the bold and clean appearance that I would like it to give. I would like to have maybe a 12 inch wide band go around my roof. Let's see how that happens. Let's go to the roof plan and in the roof plan with the roof selected, let's go to architecture, roof, and roof fascia. I see that there is a one by eight fascia available to me, but I want a one by 12. Let's create a new type. Duplicate, name it to whatever I want it to be. Now the fascia derives its geometry from a profile family and in the type properties dialogue box, I can swap out the profile family to be whatever I want it to be. But you know what? I don't see a one by 12 fascia of profile family available to me. Let's cancel out of here and let's escape…
