- [Instructor] So far, we have added walls, doors, windows, rooms to our model. Now, let's add and edit a floor. To do so in Revit, go to architecture, go to floor, and when you click for the dropdown, you see a bunch of options. Hmm, I wonder what those mean. Let's take a look at what it is that those options mean. Let's take a look at those Revit floor terms by their use case. Floor: structural is an option that is used by structural engineers in their models. Floor by face is a tool that allows the placement of floors on complex geometry. And the complex geometry may have been created by another software, or they may be complex masses that have been created in Revit. Finally, the floor: slab edge. This allows the placement of a complex edge to an already placed slab. Now, that we know all this, let's go back to Revit.
