- [Instructor] If you've done any work in the business world then you know that ROI, that is return on investment, is one of the most important things that you can keep track of. ROI is one kind of per item measurement. And there's a lot of others that you'll encounter. So there's profit per dollar invested, there's sales per book, there's impressions per post, there's views per video, there's graduates per enrolled student enrollee, there's points per game by an athlete, there's miles per gallon for your car. All of these are taking one value and dividing it by something to get a per item or per unit measure. So let's take a look at one possibility here. Calculating rates is simple, and it's nice to think of this with something familiar like movies. And here's a list of the top grossing movie series as of 2022.
