From the course: Data Literacy: Exploring and Describing Data

Make better decisions with your data

- [Barton] The data revolution comes in many shapes and sizes. There are the industrial-scale projects in e-commerce, social media, and AI, but there are also human-sized projects for entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses. You can get significant insights from even basic analyses of small datasets. And this is where the principle of data literacy comes in. I'm Barton Poulson, and together, we'll explore the fundamental concepts of data literacy, or the ability to work with data to extract insights, define new paths of inquiry, and to get actionable ideas for next steps. This is a non-technical overview, so anyone with an interest in informed decision-making can learn how data can help them to do the things that are important to them and to do them more effectively and more efficiently. And so let's get started with data literacy.
