- [Instructor] Here's the thing. All feedback is not created equal. Some might be helpful, and some might not be. The good news is we get to control what we do with the feedback. Now, this takes more effort than simply picking the feedback you agree with. It requires you to understand the function of the feedback in your life. Many want to simply label the feedback as good or bad, but I'd like to break it down like this, constructive, destructive or reinforcing feedback. Let's talk about each. The first is constructive feedback. This is feedback that focuses your attention on the actions, not you as the person. It relates to the future, what's possible and what you have the potential to do if you were to apply the feedback.
