(upbeat music) - [Instructor] For your first challenge, you'll focus on using the techniques you've learned to clean and prepare spreadsheet data for Generative AI. To start open the file named Chapter One Challenge from the Course Downloads. This data set includes US state populations for the years 2020 through 2023. Currently, the data is in a pivoted format with each year's population listed in its own column. Your first task is to unpivot this data in Power Query so that all population values are combined into a single column. This will give you a structure with three columns total: state, year, and population, an ideal setup for AI analysis. Once you have the structure, explore the data and ask yourself questions such as which states experienced the highest percentage population growth between 2020 and 2023 to highlight growth trends or even something like create a summary of total populations by year.
