- Sometimes it's only when you start to analyze your data that you notice that something isn't quite right. This may be a problem with the actual source data, or it could be something as simple as needing to update the query. The brilliant part about power query is, making a change to an existing query is extremely simple. And with power query and power pivot designed to seamlessly work together, any changes to reports and charts update automatically. Let's go ahead and take a look at the pivot worksheet. If we click on the drop down box next to row labels, you'll notice that we've manually excluded one of the years from our data, which is the year 2020. We did this because at the time we took our snapshot of data, it was an incomplete year and it was making the charts look a little bit strange.
