LinkedIn Learning for career development and internal mobility

- No matter where you're at in your career, one thing is certain. Staying relevant involves continuous learning. Today, most organizations prioritize internal mobility, encouraging their employees to develop their skills for career growth in the organization. One concern I hear is what happens if employees gain new skills and then leave? But a far bigger problem is having employees who stay, but don't learn new skills. Whether you're looking to excel at your current role or prepare for future opportunities, ongoing learning is going to be the key to staying competitive. Thankfully, LinkedIn Learning makes it easy to develop the right skills at the right time by offering personalized recommendations. Instead of recommending courses at random, the platform curates a tailored learning experience to help you grow in a meaningful way. These recommendations are based on things like your LinkedIn job title and career path, in-demand skills, your learning activity and skills that you follow on LinkedIn Learning. To get the most out of these recommendations, it's important to interact with LinkedIn Learning. One of the best ways to do this is to follow skills. I'm going to navigate to my skills, and from here is where I can add any new skills. At the bottom, I can see skills I'm following. Here are some suggested ones if I want to follow them, I could click on it and up here I can search for skills. Let's say I want to add Artificial Intelligence, I'll select that and click save. When you follow a skill, LinkedIn Learning prioritizes courses and content related to that area. Other people aren't able to see the skills that you follow as they're only used to personalize the content that's recommended to you. You can also follow a lot of skills, so make sure to select any that you're truly interested in learning about. Next, we'll discuss how to set the right learning goals to make the most out of the time that you invest.
