Move from layer architecture to story
- When you have a layer architecture, it's a pretty straightforward exercise to go from the architecture to your story. So referring back to our example of purchasing Acme because we can get scale and increase our profits by X dollars. What you do with that layer architecture is literally flip it over when you go to write your story. So the first thing we'll talk about will be the background, and then, we'll talk about what's changed and then, we'll cover the core idea. Remember, you chose a layer architecture because your audience isn't grounded. So it's a very natural place to start to ground the audience when you tell them that story. And once they understand the grounding, then, you create a case for action and say something's changed that we should take advantage of, and therefore, the recommendation will make sense, and they'll have that fuller context.
