- Sometimes I get asked for my opinion on something that I don't quite know what my opinion actually is yet. Like, "Would you like a slice of pizza?" I don't know. Does it have pineapple on it? Did you deep-fry it? Is it gluten-free? You see, shaping your opinion sometimes takes a bit of thought and some extra information. I'm going to show you a prompt that I used to help me with a recent university course that I did. I used it to help me explore topics and to come up with informed opinions so that I could write about them better. The prompt tells your AI assistant to ask you questions, to help you think around a topic from different perspectives. It forces you to consider things that you probably wouldn't under normal circumstances. And importantly, it focuses on finding out what you think rather than supplying you with what other people think. So let me show you. Right, I shall paste the prompt here into Google Gemini.
