Customize your LinkedIn Learning account settings

- [Oliver] Customizing your LinkedIn Learning settings is a quick way to personalize your experience on the platform. Let's take a look at how to access and adjust your settings. To get started, in the upper right corner, click on the me icon, and from the dropdown, select settings. This will bring you to the settings page for your LinkedIn Learning account. Now, here you can see that it's not very complex. There's not a lot of settings here. Up at the top, I have learning settings and instructor settings because I am an instructor. You'll most likely only have learning settings here, and I first want to show you the notification settings. If I click here, I have the ability to adjust the types of emails that I receive from LinkedIn Learning. So for instance, the first is reminders about your in progress, saved, and assigned courses. So I do want email reminders on that, and I currently have it turned on. Now the next one is Welcome to LinkedIn Learning series, welcome email series to help new users get started. You could toggle this on or off, if you wanted. I'm going to toggle mine off. And then recommendations, suggested content from LinkedIn Learning. Let's say I do want that. I'm going to turn that on, and I now will receive those emails. So if you're not receiving emails, or say, you're receiving too many about recommendations, here's where you can go in and turn that on or off. Next, below this, I want to point out the autoplay preferences. You can toggle on whether videos automatically play when opening a course or previewing a recommendation. So if you don't want it to automatically start playing, you can turn that off. Same here with the preview. I can toggle that off, if I want. Below this, you can adjust the language. For advanced settings, like profile visibility or mentions, you need to navigate to the privacy and setting section, where over to the right, you'll click on Manage. Now, when you do this, it'll bring you to your LinkedIn account settings, where you're able to customize your settings across all LinkedIn products. To the left side, notice there's a data privacy tab. You can click here to take control of your privacy settings. This is something I recommend taking a look at. Now, in this case, I'm going to navigate back over to the LinkedIn Learning settings. Below this, we have social settings to control whether others can see what you're learning, and you can sync your learning activity across accounts. So that's a quick overview of the LinkedIn Learning settings, which you can adjust to customize your experience. Take a moment to explore these options and make the platform work best for you.
