- A few short years ago, working remotely wasn't common. Thus, the topic of leading remote or virtual teams was nonexistent. Thanks to advances in technologies, a pandemic, and changing employee preferences, that's changed. Leading remotely is rapidly becoming a core required skill. So if you're about to begin leading a team remotely, or you're in charge of helping others lead virtual teams, I want you to keep several things in mind.
