(gentle electric guitar music) - In this lesson, I'm going to walk you through the Blender user interface and how to navigate the viewport and what all these crazy windows are. So as soon as you download Blender, you're met with the famous default cube. This is going to be in the beginning of every Blender scene you start. A lot of people start off by deleting it, the poor guy, but the other objects we have here are a camera and a lamp. You can left click to select those, but this is the beginning of any Blender scene, no matter what you're doing. These objects are going to be in there. Besides this big window in the middle, which we call the 3D viewport, there's a few other things around the outside where you can control other things around rendering your lighting, for example. You can add materials in this area, but we'll get to all those in a little bit. The biggest area you want to be focused on is this middle area, and that's called the 3D viewport.
