- [Instructor] I'm going to create a lucid chart document by selecting this blue new button. And here's where I choose the type of document I want to create. I can choose a lucid chart document, a lucid spark board which again is for brainstorming and ideation. I can start with a template, import a file to work with or I can create a folder to organize my documents. So I'm going to choose a lucid chart document. And the first thing I'm going to do is just name the document. I'll single click up here and just call this practice. All right, so along the left side here, we have three categories by default in our toolbox. Standard flow chart and shapes. For right now, I'm just going to cover standard. This contains some of the most common tools for diagramming and in here is text, block, sticky note, hotspot and line. All right, so let's start with text. This is a simple text box.
