- [Instructor] Let's dive into the exciting world of leads. A lead is just a potential sale, someone who has shown an interest in your product or service but isn't quite ready to buy yet. Your job: nurture, track, and qualify that lead until you're ready to move forward. In the Navigation pane, select the Leads option in the Sales group. The default view shows us all of the open leads that we currently have in our space. Let's create a new one using the New button on the toolbar. Let's imagine we were recently at a conference, and we met a gentleman named Jordan Mitchell while we were there. In that discussion, he expressed that he may have a need for some commercial espresso machines. We're going to capture that information here. We're not quite sure if this is a real piece of business yet, but we want to capture that information anyway. The first thing we need to fill out is the topic. Where did we meet this person?
