- [Instructor] In Dynamics 365, the dashboards are a great snapshot of where you're at and what you're working on. However, sometimes we need the detail behind the scenes. Where is this data coming from? This is where the drill-down options are really helpful. To see the detail behind the data point, hover over that section of the chart. And from the tool tip, I can see that we have one item that's ready to qualify and it's worth a little over $139,000. Let's peek into what we have in development. In development, we have two items with an estimated value of $130,000. Most chart types allow you to do this little peek into it, including the pie charts. In my open leads, I have three items that were word-of-mouth referrals. What are the leads that were received as a word-of-mouth referral? Let's go ahead and click the pie slice in the chart. We can drill down by attribute or pieces of the puzzle and where we receive that data. This detail is coming from the record. In this case, maybe I want to see which city these word-of-mouth referrals came from. Let's type in city. And then select the option. Next, you get to choose which chart type you would like to display the drill-down data in. Let's choose a bar chart, and I can see the detail of the three cities where I received that word-of-mouth referral. When you drill down, there's a breadcrumb trail that builds at the top of the page. To go back to the main chart, click the home icon and it returns you to the main chart. If you would like to see this chart in more detail, click the flyout button in the upper right-hand corner of its pane, and now I see a larger view of that particular chart. One more icon I want to point out to you. This is the View Records option. This will give me the detail behind this particular chart. Now I can see all the detail and the data behind this particular chart, and on the Detail pane, I can see what my next step might be with this particular client.
