- [Narrator] In an earlier video, we discussed the announcement feature, which allows you to post an update to your entire class all at one time. There may be times, however, that you need to send a message to an individual student or a particular group of students. Let's take a look at how we can do this inside of Moodle. First of all, up at the top you have the bell icon. This is for notifications. If you have any notifications, you'll see them here. Next to this is the messages icon. If I click on that, this side panel slides out, and this is where I can begin to create messages. Right now you'll see that I have Starred, Group messages, and then Private. Now I do have a few private ones, and this is from a different course that I had, with people sending messages in here. These are somewhat old.
