Create materials from bitmaps
- [Narrator] Now SketchUp has a lot of materials that you can use in your projects but there's always that material that you can't find. And if you want to create your own materials, you can, using image files. So let's start off by going into our Exercise Files folder and we should have an Images subfolder. Now I have two jpeg files there and we can use those to create materials. So the first one we're going to do is a grass. And so I have this grass here in the scene and I want to replace it. So I'm just going to go ahead. I'm going to left-click and drag over my browser and let go. And I should get this Import File menu. Now we're importing from the device, which is our local PC but you can also import from Trimble Connect if you want to. Now we're going to import this as a material. So I'm going to go ahead and click Material and then it brings that image into the scene. And all I have to do is place that image…
