- [Instructor] Maya is a very powerful package and requires a fairly healthy system to run properly. Now, if you're just starting out with Maya, make sure that you have a good graphics card in your system along with plenty of memory; this will help you out a lot with Maya. Now, if you're using a Macintosh, you'll also need a three-button mouse. You can use Maya without that but it'll be much easier to learn with a proper mouse. So go ahead and get your system set up and we can get started.
