- [Bonnie] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. In this tip, I'll show you how to group your tasks by variance, so you can easily spot the ones that are in trouble, and by how much. So I have a custom view that I've been working on. It's called C_dashboard, and you can see I have a couple of columns with dashboard icons so you can see performance. Well let's group the work tasks by the length of their variance. I'm going to start by going to the View tab, and in the Data section, I want to click the down arrow where it says No Group. Then, on the menu that appears, I'm going to choose New Group By. That opens up the Group Definition dialog box, and it automatically selects the text that's in the Name box. So I can change the name just by typing. I'm going to call this group C_, so I know it's a custom one, and then I'll add schedule variance. Now that I have the name, let's go ahead and start with the Group By. Well, this is going to be grouped by the finished variance. I could use the schedule…
