- [Bonnie Biafore] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. The horizontal axes in report graphs are sometimes hard to read. For example, when the labels are vertical, or overlap one another. In this tip, I'll show you how to format a graph's horizontal axes to make labels easier to read. Finding the feature to format label alignment takes a few steps. We're going to start by right-clicking the labels along the horizontal axis. So I'm going to right-click in this graph that I've added to a report. On the shortcut menu, click Format Axis. That opens up a second pane on the right side called Format Axis. What you want to do is click Text Options. And then click the text box icon just below that. That gives you some settings for the text box itself. Now the text direction is set to horizontal, and that's just fine. What we want to do to adjust the angle is fill in a value in the custom angle box. So I'm going to type in a value. Let's say 45. As soon as I type in that number, you can see what the labels…
