- [Bonnie] Hi, Bonnie Biafore here with another Project tip. Today I'll show you how to save additional baselines and choose one to calculate variance. Here we're looking at a project using the Gantt chart view. But if you want to look at baselines, the tracking Gantt is better. So open the task tab, click the bottom half of the Gantt chart button, and down at the bottom of the dropdown menu choose tracking Gantt. In the tracking Gantt over in the timeline, gray bars on the bottom represent when the tasks are supposed to occur according to the baseline. Then the red and blue bars are when the tasks are currently scheduled to occur. And right now, that's at the same time. Now let's say that the project gets delayed after the management meeting and the project is put on hold for a couple of months, but now that time is passed and you're ready to start working on the project again, but we need to change the start dates for these tasks based on that delay after the management meeting.
