Adding metrics to dashboards
- [Instructor] You've gone ahead and created a chart with all the data points that you need. Now you need a way to save this so it's available for you later. If you close the browser or navigate a different PC, this data will not be saved. To save the data, we can add this graph into a dashboard. CloudWatch alarm supports dashboard, where we can build our own dashboard with the data that we need. To create a new dashboard, we can navigate to dashboards, and then in here, you can create your first dashboard. Or, if you already have dashboards, then you can go ahead and edit them. Let's go ahead and create our first dashboard. Let's say metrics. This is just a demo dashboard. And now in here, we can add widgets, depending on our use case. For example, we can add a line graph, we can do alarm statuses, or custom widgets, or just text, and we can also do logs in here. For this demo, we are focusing on metrics. If we…
