Progress invoicing for cost overruns
- [Instructor] With progress invoicing, you create invoices for what's been done as work progresses. But how do you invoice a customer when your costs exceed your estimate? It's easy once you know how. Let's start by creating an estimate for a customer. Up at the top left, click + New, and underneath customers, choose Estimate. I'm going to use the customer Germaine Green. Down in the table, I'm going to add installation services. So I add that by selecting it from the dropdown menu. Let's say that the quantity is 24, I'm going to choose the class solar. In the second row, I want to add some solar panels. So I choose the ones that I want, I'm going to fill in the quantity and then I'll choose the class. And I'm going to keep this estimate very simple. So let's go down to the bottom right, click the down arrow, and choose Save and close. Now, let's create an invoice for this customer. Up the top left, click + New and choose…
