- [Narrator] Sometimes, you need to get a larger number of people to validate a design approach. For example, you need to make a go or no-go decision, or to feel confident in a high risk situation, you want to get more data from a large number of participants to ensure stakeholders feel comfortable with your solution, and that it's usable under all conditions. This is when you need to do quantitative or large sample testing. In this case, you need to write a structured test that relies mostly on feedback that is more quantitative in nature. This minimizes the amount of video watching you need to do and creates outputs that are best communicated using charts, graphs, tables, and maybe a few quotes or videos for color. Tasks should be planned with clear success criteria and use written, multiple choice and rating scale questions to capture feedback in an easy to digest manner.
