Adding spaces
- [Instructor] Spaces in Revit MEP, to some degree mimic rooms in Revit architecture. The main reason we use spaces in Revit MEP is so we can copy the room name and number. When the architect updates the room name and number, we can see it in the space. But spaces get us way past just a name and number. Spaces allow us to actually calculate the rooms heating and cooling loads as well as calculate lighting levels. The objective of this video is to add spaces, configure space tags, and rename spaces. Let's jump into Revit. Under models, let's go open. Browse to where you're keeping your exercise files and I'm going to select electrical project spaces. Of course, if you're working in your own model, you can open any model you choose to add spaces to. Let's click open. In the project browser, let's go to power, floor plan, let's go to one power.
