Creating routing preferences
- [Narrator] As we model pipe in the default Revit template, we should be wondering what kind of pipe we're using. We added domestic supply to some fixtures but we used a default pipe. Last time I went to purchase a pipe, I couldn't find a pipe called default. I can find copper and PVC though. The objective of this video is to configure our routing preferences for a domestic supply pipe. In Revit, under models, let's go open. Go to where we're keeping your exercise files. Let's find plumbing project routing preferences, and click open. Let's zoom to my favorite area here and select any one of these pipes. Notice we have all of our instance parameters. The pipe segment's copper K, but let's look and see what that actually is. Let's click edit type. Let's go to our routing preferences, click edit. Now our pipe segment is copper K. We can click a drop down here. We can go L or M. We can set it to iron. And of course…
